Submersible Slurry Pump Mud Agitator is also called Mud Tank Agitator and widely used in the mud solids control system. It is installated in slurry storage tanks or mud tank and to prevent drilling fluid solid Particles deposited in the mud tank.

All DCJBQ agitators feature a drive system which eliminates misalignment and troublesome couplings. This configuration promotes longer motor and gearbox bearing life. It is used in mud systems to suspend solids and maintain homogeneous mixture throughout the system. A mechanical agitator is driven by an explosion-proof motor, coupled to a gear box that drives the impeller shaft. The impellers (turbines) transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. The objective is to obtain a uniform suspension of all solids.
All electric motors are standard to comply with the latest regulations for use in zone 1 explosion proof hazardous areas such as ATEX IECEx, ATEX and NEMA. Each agitator is designed for the specific application, taking into account parameters such as tank size, tank depth and mud characteristics.

For vertical configurations the drive motor rotates the impeller shaft through an all helical gear drive. For horizontal designs the motor is connected through a combination of helical and bevel gears. Both designs permit mounting of one or two impellers having either straight or canted blades.
Each Mud agitator is designed based on the customer’s specific requirements. Common horsepower outputs range from 3 to 30hp and a wide variety of output speeds are available based on application.
