The order of Heavey mud tank from Saudi Arabia

Mud tank is the necessary equipment and slurry processing equipment supporting the mud circulation system for storing the drilling mud. DC solid control Got the order from Saudi Arabia who request the special requirements mud tanks. 

Material Specification of the mud tank:

1. All materials shall be ASTM A36 or BS 4360 Gr.43A and pipe material shall be ASTM A106 Grade B. 

2. The tank sides crimped plating shall be 10mm thick and bottom plating shall be 10mm thick. Outer skid complete skid with 6mm chequered plate.

3. Three sides hand railings with toe bards shall be as per standard SKL‐STD‐023 and foldable/removable. The complete railing system shall be designed for safe  operation of the rig and comply with SAUDI ARAMCO regulations.

4. The tank ladders shall be fabricated with flat bar and square bar. Rungs shall be with square bar.

5. All hinges, pins and safety pins (split) to be stainless steel.

6. SHS & RHS shall be used for structural fabrication to minimize corrosion.

Surface Preparation And Coating Request: 

1. Steel structure shall be grit‐blasted to ISO (SIS) SA 2.5 after completion of welding work. Any mechanical cleaning shall be complied with ISO (SIS) St 3.0.

2. External Painting. Base coat shall be Jotun Jotamastic 87 (200 Micron DFT), Top Coat of Jotun Hardtop (50 Micron DFT)

3. Internal Painting. 2 Coats of Jotun Tank Guard Grey (2 x 125 Micron DFT).
